Yes, our 9mm laser does work in an M&P and No,you do not have to remove the Battery as it is only activated when the firing Pin activates it.
Does your 9mm red laser cartridge work properly with strike fire pistol (SW M&P 2.0), do I have to remove batteries SureStrike™ 9mm Cartridge
I had a 9mm laser years ago but I had to get a barrel insert type due to strike fire kept the 9mm cartridge on after first shot. (not good)
Also batteries in my barrel insert have to always be removed after each use (what a pain)
